Customer Service Representative
Oak Valley Community Bank is seeking applicants for a Customer Service Representative for our Sonora location that will be responsible for excellent customer service, receiving and paying out money to bank customers, keeping accurate records of money and negotiable instruments involved in financial transactions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount and examines checks for proper endorsements.
Cashes checks and pays out money after proper verification of signatures and customer account balances.
Enters customers' transactions into computer to record transactions and issues computer generated receipts.
Place's holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
Assists Manager in weekly procedure of branch cash supply order including counting of incoming cash upon receipt of shipment.
Accurately balances currency, coin and checks in cash drawer periodically through out the day and then at the end of each shift and compares totaled amounts with data displayed on computer system.
Removes deposits from and counts and balances cash in automated teller machines and night depository.
Cross sells products or services such as: Personal Checking, Personal Savings, Liquidity, HSA, Certificates of Deposit's, Individual Retirement Accounts, Business Checking, Business Savings, Merchant Services, On-Line Banking/Bill Pay, Safe Deposit Boxes and Remote Deposit Capture.
Recommends qualifying customers other products or services that fit their business or personal needs such as: Commercial/Consumer/Mortgage Loans, Small Business Loans/Lines of Credit, Equity Loans/Lines of Credit, and Investments.
Other duties as assigned.
Desired candidates will possess a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); one to two years related experience and/or training.
